How to Do Business with Public Agencies

This very successful and free annual event is presented by Assemblyman Pedro Nava and co-sponsored by the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce.

The exhibit hall will be open at 7:30 a.m. for networking with numerous local, county, state and federal agencies who will be available to answer questions and discuss how businesses can survive and grow in these challenging times.

Burris DeBenning, Senior Buyer with the City of Ventura will facilitate a two hour discussion on the following topics:

• What does the current economic situation mean for doing business with agencies and utilities?
• What is the importance and role of environmentally sustainable purchasing and contracts?
• How can single businesses leverage their talents and products through volume cooperative purchasing programs and networks? 

The panelists will include representatives from the following agencies who will highlight purchasing protocal.
