Event Description: Models to Look At. Models to Buy. For the ship model enthusiast and interested novice alike, CIMM is the place to be! CIMM displays an extensive number of exquisitely detailed ship models from all over the world and dating back hundreds of years! From December 1 through December 31, the CIMM Ship Model Guild will display projects that they have been working on over the past year. Come visit Saturdays and Sundays during the month of December from 12 - 2 pm to enjoy a Ship in a Bottle Demonstration, from resident Model Maker Bob Little. The Museum will also hold its annual ship model sale, so you can take one home with you! The Channel Islands Maritime Museum is open Thursday – Monday 10:00 to 4:00 Sunday 12:00 to 4:00 Located in Oxnard’s Channel Islands Harbor at 3900 Bluefin Circle. The permanent exhibits include a seascape gallery of rare and beautiful maritime paintings dating back to the 1600’s and more than sixty world-class models of historic ships, interactive contemporary exhibits and a gift shop. Admission to the museum is $7 for non-members, $5 for seniors 62+, $3 for children 6-17, free for members and children under 6.
