Event Description: May is Mental Health Month and we have two more tours planned at our programs: • Our Place Safe Haven & Stephenson Place, in Ventura, housing and support for those who are homeless: Wednesday, May 18, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. 536 E. Thompson, Ventura Our Place Safe Haven is the first stop on the road to recovery for mental health issues and homelessness. Located at 536 E. Thompson, this 10 bed shelter provides a safe place to live where basic needs are met and the most vulnerable from our community can receive mental health treatment, assistance establishing a stable source of income, and help obtaining transitional housing with the goal of permanent housing. Drop in services include hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, phone messages and mail delivery and case management. Our Homeless to Home and Community Outreach programs run out of Our Place Safe Haven as does our Health Navigator Program. • Veterans Transitional Housing, Ventura, housing and support for veterans, Tuesday, May 31, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. The tours are free and highlight our Mental Wellness, Veterans and Homeless to Home programs.
