Strategies for a Crime Free Business The Oxnard Police Department and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust are teaming up to address safe and crime free business in Oxnard at the July 9 Good Morning Oxnard Breakfast. The purpose of the Crime Free Business program is to reduce crime in and around businesses; provide a safe work environment for employees, customers and employers; and increase the number of customers coming into the business to use the services. The strategies and materials presented in the Crime Free Business program are based on research conducted among Los Angeles businesses by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and decades of studies conducted by government and university researchers nationwide.
By implementing Crime Free Business strategies, businesses have reduced robberies by up to 45 percent and other violent crimes like assaults and batteries to employees by nearly 30 percent. At the July 9 GMO, Detective Martin Ennis will further discuss the three phases of becoming a certified Crime Free Business. In addition to creating a crime free business, a Santa Barbara Bank & Trust representative will make a presentation on how to protect your customers’ personal and financial data. This will be a great time to ask all the critical questions concerning business, financial and personal data safety.
All reservations made before July 6 will qualify for the early discount price of $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Reservations made after July 6 or paid at the door will be $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Register online with credit card HERE or call 805-983-6118.
